The
best and beautiful things in the world are achieved with passion. |
Concept
The concept of NCV is to develop a village (orphanage) that will be home
to 150 children ages 8 to 18 years old and will include a school, health
clinic, non-denominational chapel, a multi-purpose room, and
a playground. Consisting of "family" homes, children will be
raised by "mothers" and "aunts" who are widowed women
that are not related to the children, yet are committed to their care.
There will be a 10:2 ratio (mother and aunt to ten children). The village
will be run by a supervisor and his family who will also live on-site.
Future site plan
(developed by MSAADA)
MSAADA (which means HELP in Swahili) is the architectural organization
of choice for Nibakure Children's Village. MSAADA has extensive experience
in designing and implementing such projects in many different cultures
and geographical settings. MSAADA is a non-profit organization founded
in 1980. Early commitment to assist churches and missions in the Developing
World, with relevant architectural and engineering services, was later
expanded to include services in other parts of the World. Beginning with
offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Arusha, Tanzania, MSAADA has expanded
also to have offices in Antananarivo, Madagascar; Nairobi, Kenya; and
Chennai (Madras), India. Project work covers 14 African countries, plus
India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Jamaica, Mexico, Greece,
Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, the UK &
the USA. MSAADA's experiences include a large variety of projects ranging
from small health facilities to full hospitals, from small primary schools
to colleges, in addition to Churches, Orphanages, Rehabilitation, Community,
and other Centers, plus Dwellings and Administration Buildings. MSAADA
has further designed over 40 churches in Africa, Asia, and the USA, including
some that seat over 2,000 worshipers. If you want further information
about MSAADA and their services to projects like this, please visit their
