What’s next at NCV?
Expanding our School
Thanks to a generous grant from Fly & Help Foundation, our second dedicated school building was constructed early in 2026 and officially inaugurated on April 24, 2026. Our middle and top preschool classes have already moved into their new classrooms, and we look forward to welcoming Primary One (first grade) in the fall of 2026.
Our goal is to continue to add a grade each year so our current students can continue to learn and grow near their homes. Check back for more updates about the future of education at NCV!
Community Health Post
Hearing a need from our neighbors for accessible healthcare, NCV is in the planning stages of adding a community Health Post to our campus. The Health Post will address health issues identified by the community and link our neighbors with the Rwandan healthcare system, including the nearest regional hospital. For this project we are partnering with the district teaching hospital in Nyamata and our friends from Rotary International.
Infrastructure Improvements
We continue to refine our rain water management and catchment systems, acting as a model for the community in building resilience through the fluctuating rainy and dry seasons here in Rwanda.
The electrical grid is often overburdened in our area, so we continue to build up our own solar energy infrastructure.
