NCV Opens New School Building

On April 24, 2026, NCV welcomed local officials, parents, community members, and international partners for the inauguration of its new school building. Funded by a generous grant from Fly & Help Foundation, the new school building includes four classrooms and a communal gathering space, which students had the opportunity to help paint on inauguration day.

NCV students help put the finishing touches on their new school.

NCV’s middle and top preschool classes have already moved into their new classrooms for their final spring term. We are excited to begin offering Primary One (first grade) this coming fall and hope to continue adding one primary grade per year as our students and school continue to grow.

Bright new classrooms with plenty of space

In her speech to mark the opening of the new school building, NCV Founder and Director Floriane Nibakure said, “Research tells us, again and again, that the first years of a child’s life are the most critical for their development. The relationships they build, the curiosity they are encouraged to explore, the confidence they are given to try and to fail and to try again—all of this is shaped in the pre-primary years. That is why this school exists. Not simply to prepare children for the next grade, but to lay a foundation that will carry them through life.”

You can be help lay and build upon that foundation by choosing to become a monthly or yearly sponsor. When you sponsor a student, a child is clothed, and educated for an entire year at NCV. Learn more about student sponsorship here.
