The Future of Education at NCV

2025 was a year where NCV was able to organize the construction of a new building for the ECD school. Four classrooms will give breathing space to the children of the ECD classes.

In November 2024 we were discussing with the funder who was interested to build these classrooms.

The message came in December 2024: “We are happy to support your project and work with you”.

Also “donor needs a little more time to collect the funds”.

For the execution, the funding Foundation works through a partnership in Rwanda.

In June 2025, the funding was acquired and Wojciech Strokol, Coordinator Partnership Rhineland - Palatinate / Rwanda, could contact us for visits and planning. On June 19th we received a first visit and an introduction to the Rhineland - Palatina team, Wojciech and Prince.

Estimated timing for start: December 2025.

And indeed, on December 9th the construction started of the School and bathroom. A Commando center was set up above the water reservoir.

On December 22nd the Coordinator and his team came for verification of the first part, the foundation. Three days of correction was necessary.

The building of the walls started on December 25th. A Happy Christmas meal was shared with NCV and all site workers.

It is nice to see the result of the planning, executed quickly and well. Delivery at night, all materials available in the morning when the sun comes up and the work starts. Kudos to the construction team.

The planning is now to do the handover in April 2026. Next school year will be in new classrooms for ECD and sewing training!!!
